Inbox Placement Tester (Email Spam Test)

Will your email land in the inbox or in spam? Send a test email to your unique address and get a free deliverability score with SPF, DKIM, DMARC, blocklist and content checks.

  1. Send your email to this address
    …

Send it from the account, app or email tool you really use (Gmail, Outlook, Mailchimp, your website…) and with your real content, so the test reflects your real emails. The address is valid for 24 hours.

  2. Then check your score

How to use the Inbox Placement Tester

  1. Copy your unique test address (test-…@ this site).
  2. Send your real email to it from the tool you normally use: Gmail, Outlook, your newsletter platform or your website.
  3. Click "I've sent it, check my score": the report appears as soon as the email arrives, usually within a minute.
  4. Fix the failed checks first (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, blocklists), then send a new test to confirm your score.

About this tool

Send a real email to your free test address and we analyse it the way Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo do: is it authenticated (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), is the sending server trusted (reverse DNS, blocklists), is the message well-formed, and does it follow the 2024 bulk-sender rules (one-click unsubscribe)? You get a score out of 10 and a clear list of what to fix.

Frequently asked questions

Does this show if my email lands in the Gmail or Outlook inbox?

It estimates it. We receive your email on our own mail server and run the same checks the big providers rely on. Real inbox placement also depends on your sending history and how recipients engage with your emails, which no test address can measure, so a high score means "nothing technical will push you to spam".

Is it free?

Yes, free with no sign-up. Each test address is valid for 24 hours, and received emails are deleted after 24 hours.

What is a good score?

9 or more is excellent, 7 to 9 is good. Below 7, fix the failed checks first: missing DKIM or DMARC and blocklisted servers are the most common reasons emails go to spam.

Why does DMARC fail when SPF passes?

DMARC needs SPF or DKIM to pass for the same domain as your visible From address. Newsletter services often send with their own domain: set up DKIM with your own domain in your email service to fix it.

Is my email content private?

Your test email is stored only to analyse it and is deleted automatically after 24 hours. Anyone with the report link can see the report during that time, so do not send confidential content.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, it works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. No app to install.
